Senate candidate Beto O'Rourke visited Amarillo this weekend and attracted hundreds of attendees at a campaign event held downtown.
On Friday, O'Rourke, an El Paso Democrat, held an event at the In This Moment event venue in downtown Amarillo. O'Rourke's campaign held the town hall, as the candidate answered a variety of questions from concerned voters in Amarillo.
According to Indivisible Amarillo's Carole McDaniel, one of the organizers of the event, about 300 people attended the town hall.
The appearance by O'Rourke marked the second time that the El Paso native has held a town hall in Amarillo since announcing his bid for the U.S. Senate in 2017.
