Amarillo Independent School District trustees will discuss the retirement of district superintendent Dana West next week.
On Monday, October 1st, Amarillo ISD trustees will hold a special election to discuss the retirement of Dr. Dana West. West, who has been the Amarillo ISD superintendent since 2015, announced her retirement from her position this week.
During the October 1st meeting, trustees will discuss a “mutual release” with West and take action to name an interim superintendent of the district.
The meeting will begin at noon on October 1st. Trustees will meet in the Amarillo ISD Education Support Center Board Room (7200 Interstate 40 West).
