A brand new poll from Qunnipiac University has Republican President Donald J. Trump and Democrat former Vice President Joe Biden in a razor thin contest in the Lone Star State.
According to the new poll, respondents preferred Biden over Trump by one point in Texas, 44-43%. The poll also showed on the issue of the economy, voters favor Trump over Biden by 14 points, while respondents favored Biden on healthcare and the coronavirus.
The poll also found Gov. Greg Abbott and U.S. Sens. Ted Cruz and John Cornyn holding net favorable approval ratings among Texas voters.
According to the poll, the margin of error is +/- 2.9%.
