Local Voters Posting Strong Numbers Ahead of May 1 Election

Voter turnout in Amarillo is continuing at a steady pace ahead of the upcoming municipal and school board election on Saturday.

According to elections officials, 1,848 voters cast ballots early in Randall County on Monday, while 870 voters cast early ballots in Potter County. This brings the early voting totals to 3,271 for Potter County and 6,167 votes for Randall County.

In addition, 2,246 mail-in ballots have also been cast between voters in both counties.

Early voting ended on Tuesday, and those numbers are not available at the time of press. Election Day will be held on Saturday and polls will be open from 7am until 7pm.
